NO REVERSE!!!! HELP

hey everybody,
Last night i backed out of my friends driveway in reverse, and pushed it into drive while i was still reversing, and did a reverse burnout.
i didn't notice anything until i put it in reverse later, and there was NO REVERSE!!!!
My friends dad checked the shift cable linkage and said it was fine.
The car drives fine otherwise, just no reverse.
So what am i looking at guys???

You probably just blew the reverse out of your tranny so your looking at a rebuild.

dammit, i don't have deep pockets, **** im sick of this v6 piece of ****.... I saw a used tranny on ebay that was outta a 95 3.4 , would that fit?

its not that the v6 is a piece of $hit, its just that many people (including yourself) are too damn hard on the transmissions. And i believe the 95 transmission will fit.
