Ok this is in my Jimmy which has the 4.3 in it. The engine on it runs around 150 degrees. It should run around 185. Most of the time you would think this would be a good thing but its not. It will lead foul the plugs. So I am looking into the possible causes I have changed the thermostat out and that didn't help. I was thinking about a possible issue with the AIT sensor but I doubt that it could make it run that rich. My other thought that I came accross was possibly O2 sensors being the cause. The engine has almost 60,000 miles on it and the car itself has almost 137,000 on it so anyone have any ideas? It will also when trying to accelerate in overdrive you can feel the torque converter not wanting to lock or unlock which I know is probably related but don't know if it is in the tranny or the engine. So any ideas?

Engine running to cold

I would think that the only thing able to make it run that cold would be the thermostat. The thermostat controls the minimum temp it's going to run at.
When I have had questionable thermostats, I've put them in a pan of water on the stove, with a thermometer, and then as the water heats up, you can see at what temp the thermostat is opening at.
I think the only other thing would be if somehow the cooling system was bypassing the thermostat. Did you just put the engine in, or was it running fine and then suddenly this started happening? If you just put it in, I'd verify that the hoses got hooked up correctly.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock

The main reason I know it is running to cold because it is lead fouling the plugs which is a sign of running to cold. I seriously doubt that the second thermostat is bad also. I doubt the first one was.2002 M5 Bright Metallic Silver
*Fully loaded and modded

2005 GSXR 750
*Micron Serpent Race Exhaust *K&N Filter *Power Commander *Trying to hit 200 MPH!

1970 SS 454 Chevelle Cortez Silver
*It can pass anything but a gas station
