I got my radiator flushed and filled last friday and since then my cars' engine bay has been smoking. Its smoking by the oil filter and bottom belt. Is it the sh!t from the radiator or is it other stuff causing the smoke.??? [img]graemlins/crybaby.gif[/img]

Did old anti-freeze get spilled on the block? If so it could be old stuff that got sloped on and is burning off. Just an idea. ;)Thanks, <br />JAM<p>02 Firebird GTComment

Is there any signs of leakage? You said it was smoking by there. It sounds like the waterpump to me. Seeing as you have a '97 the waterpump it's self should be fine but you might want to check into the gasket. If the waterpump is rusted out then it's only about $40 for a new one so you should be alright.
