i want to cut my damn light

the ses light, i don't want to see it come on again. how the hell do i do it? all i ever throw are fan codes anyway, and it pisses me off when it comes on and peeps in the car are always like "wtf is that?" so, any clues?

if you really dont want it.....take your gauge cluster out, and put some black tape over the light that normally lights up the SES....you wont see it anymore....but thats not good....you should just fix the fan problem....or be a cheap *** and get rid of the light ;)

If you did the do it yourself fan switch mod than thats whats causing the ses light to come on. It happened to my 99 camaro it would not go away till you take out the fan switch. kinda sucks bit you have to make that choice. I just got rid of it. I did not get much benifit from it at this time anyway. Good luck and hope this helps

I made it myself...I've only thrown a light once at the track using it, never have I thrown it other than that one time....and it works perfectly ;) dunno why yours does it?

just open the cluster and take the bulb out that is behind that one... dont mess with tape...

Yeah I friggin hate that....Why is your SES light on.....&^%(#& for the 100th time ahhh. Also I love this one..."Why is it flashing?".....thanks I try not to look at it and when it flashes it makes me punch things, so your outta luck looks like I have to punch you directly in the FACE! ahh

is there any way to get to the back of the gauge cluster, unscrew the light, splice some wires to the ones that are already there, and then put another light in a less conspicuous place, like in the ashtray or something? that way, if you have a light on, then you'll know it, but other people riding with you won't be so disturbed by it, and at the same time, if it comes on and your fan switch is on, then you'll know why it's on. btw, how do you get your gauge cluster out?
