I posted this in electronics, but i thought i may have better luck here. Hey all, i completed the 3.4 swap just over a week ago, and have been having a few problems after only 1 day of flawless performance. Most recently, i fixed a bad ground to my computer, i went to fire it up, and the starter would stop turning the motor(you can here it trying), but when that happens, the smaller guage wire that goes from the - teminal on the battery to the body(ground), started to smoke and melt! , im thinking now that maybe a + wire going to the starter is grounding out when i TRY to start it. As soon as it is in working order, im selling it while i can, i want something to drive, not something to fix for 2 months strait being its my only car.

well, i took a deep breath and went at it and found the bolt i used to bolt the ground wire to the block was too long and bottomed out in the hole before it was tight on the wire, so it was trying to pull all the amps for the starter through 12 gauage wire  , fixed it, fired right up, thanks anyway
