  • can a misfire = poorer gas mileage?

i've had a misfire for some time now, waiting till it gets a little warmer to change the plugs and wires. when it ran better i got about 230-240 mpg, but lately the misfire has gotten worse and more frequent, and it seems as if i only get around 200-210 mpg. is there a relation between the two or am i just losing my mind??

Hold on, you were getting 240 miles to a tank? Thats like 16 miles to the gallon. Your suppose to get 22-28 to a gallon. The mods listed on your site would not suck gas like that. Is this another one of those dex-cool things? I realize a misfire would hurt economy but when it happened to my car my millege dropped maybe 1-2mpg, not like yours. Read through this.
