I'm going to change my belt tensioner tomorrow, i understand that you have to turn the bolt clockwise to get the pulley off,,,

how do you get the actual tensioner itself off??

i see one bolt that is easy to get to, but the other bolt looks hidden behind the pulley.

    thanks in advance

I have a 3.1 and the tensioner only had 2 bolts holding it on. It was a little dificult to get to one of the bolts but I just used a 10mm hand wrench to loosen it up.

It's been a while since I changed mine but I think you have to hold the tensioner out of the way with one wrench and remove the bolt with another. I'm not sure about that. I remember having to get my roommate to help me.

take the belt off and release the tension on the tensioner and you can easily get to both bolts. It might help to do it from underneath the car.

Not necessary at all...you can get to both bolts from the top very easily.
