ok, no where has one, looks like itll have to do until wed when they get it...

it seems to be fine, only a slight leak is audible...
they said it should be fine until i replace it...

          another question...

where is the fuel filter located?

and, do i really need to purge the fuel lines, or will opening the gas cap work?

can a mod change my topic to fuel filter question (so i dont have t make another)

          thanks

the fuel filter is on the frame rail at the rear of the car on the left side right by the wheel. and YES you will need to releave the pressure on the fuel lines or you are gong to get a face full of GAS and that ain't good.

open the gas cap and open the shrader vavle on the fuel rail (pass side) unscrew the cap and push it like you would deflate a tire

But put a rag over the valve in case fuel squirts out.

will i have to do anything to re-pressureize the fuel lines?

When you changed the filter, put the car in the on position and let the injectors prime before you start it. That will get the pressure back up.

As for the gasket issue, you can buy a sheet of gasket material and make your own. That's what I did for my 3800 when my old gasket broke because it was so brittle. Still works fine.

i did it without putting the rear on jack stands...
i had the front on stands to change my brakes.
i opened the gas tank... and there was no pressure at all in the fuel line... cause no gas sprayed out...
                        is that normal?

there was no pressure... when i pushed the pin in, none came out

it did trickle when i disconnected it.

if your car was off for a while the the pressuer does escape
