    READ THE RULES. -navyblue.

    they read...

    2. NO FLUFF POSTS. Again, let's save bandwidth here. Try to keep your posts on topic. No simple "lol" or anything related like that. There is no need for that garbage. And if you just have this compulsion to type in "do a search", you can AT LEAST link some threads that might help them. Or, just offer some advice. I try to post advice before locking, please do the same.

Well, I'll let you in on it. Basically it is air fed to the air filter box, or your air filter via hood scoops or an aftermarket kit. The performance gains are not incredible, but any engine benifits from a cooler air/fuel charge. It is impossible to force enough air into a motor this way to get a "boost" effect, like the kind in supercharged or turbo engines. You will however see a noticable gain at higher speeds, and all around better throttle response. There are kits made for our f-bodies.

Also, look into a K&N air filter. They are made for excellent air flow, and not even in comparison to stock, or stock replacement filters. It would be a good idea to look at the modifications section here, that explains alot, and gives you a good starting point for modding your car. The search feature is excellent. Just type in "ram air" for instance and it will show you every post, and replies for that topic, that have been on this site. The same for any other search. Hope that helps, happy crusing-Jessica

FYI, if you're going to do it - my SS hood did absolutely nothing over the !FRA mod and whisper lid.

The hood looks nice though. :D
