    I use a AC Delco PF52 (on my normally PF47 3.4), and I run with 5 quarts of oil. My brother does the same thing with his 3.8 and no problems there.

    Bigger filter = more room to trap crap in engine, and more oil.

      I don't even put in 5 quarts in mine and I use the 4.3 filter too, I put in a little over 4.5

        I used to have a Jaguar XJ6 that took almost 9 quarts of oil!
