Ok changed bulbs 3-4 weeks ago, sockets were rusted out, dremeled out rust.
Last weekend had brake light on both sides out, and rear park light on passenger side was out. - Replaced But when I took out the old bulbs I noticed the bottom of the bulbs, you have two rounded metal pieces. Well they weren't rounded anymore, they had the impresion from the little bars the make contact with. Like they had gotten so hot, they molded to the surface of the socket. (just the little raised metal pieces though)

Any idea why I'm going through so many bulbs/what's causing me to melt the connector things (little raised metal things)?????

You may need a bit more dilectric grease (I think thats how it's spelled). Keeps bulb housings from rusting, and I guess it keeps them from overheating too. Auto stores sell the Dilectric Grease in little packets.
