• custom fan switch installed--interesting side effects.

I just completed the custom manual fan switch based on these instructions <http://users.oco.net/xero/fanmod/>

It took about 2 1/2 hours and the results were very cool. I realized that I would never have heard the low fan when operating, but recognized the sound of the high speed one for sure.

Anyways, interesting couple of things that I wasn't expecting.

The low speed fan comes on when you turn on the a/c or defroster automatically, AND it causes the LED to light up even if the switch is in the off position

At first I thought some wires were touching or something but it comes on at very precise times. So not only do I not need to worry that the fans wont' still work automatically as they always have, but i'll know exactly when they're on even if i'm blasting my tunes.

Pictures should be up tonight on my website if anyone's interested.
