I'm looking to change my thermostat also, but can't decide what would be best the 180 or 160. Down here in Vegas It gets hot as h*ll, so I'm ok now, but worried about the summer. 110+ Thanks

I would definitely choose the 160* in your case.

If you are running a newer car you may need to do a resistor mod to get a 160* t-stat working.

Otherwise, you will get an SES light.

E-mail Dominic about the exact Ohm of the resistor needed (for the IAT sensor).

I have a 2001, first time I put in a 160, it caused ses. I have been running for a good week now w/ the new 160 & resistor mod w/ no light & no pending codes.

            Can I get a link for a 180deg. thermostat for a 2002 V6? I can't seem to find one anywhere.

Just go to pepboys and lookup the part number for a Stant 180 for say a 1997 Grand prix 3.8L (GTP or GT)

              you'll find it!
