  • Where do I put the seafoam!? 00' Bird

K I picked up some new things today...

    Q High RPM Oil
    K&N Oil Filter
    180* Thermostat (with new gaskets)
    PCV Valve
    Seafoam

    2 questions...

    1. What do I do with the seafoam, where EXACTLY and HOW MUCH do I pour. Can I use this stuff on a rag or something to clean the TB?

    2. Where the hell is the PCV Valve on this car? Dumb dumb I know but Im learning.

Use the brake booster line. Find your master cylinder, and look at the hose right behind it, stick a small funnel in there and pour about half the can at a decent slowish pace.

Master cylinder as in your brake fluid resivour (The place you put brake fluid in). You can miss it, it's toward the back right of the engine (Facing the engine standing at the front of the car). You'll know it's the right hose when you take it off because it will shoot the RPMS to 3k when it's running.

PVC - look for something coming out of your valve cover with a hose on it.

as for the thermostat, it should have instruction but a search on here or a manual will work. its pretty simple. why didnt you get a 160* thermo?

If you're talking about PCV, there's no hose on it and it's not on the valve cover. ;)

Yeah, it isnt, so where is this lil thing?

I got a 180 bc they didnt have 160*, If this isnt enough Ill go find one online or something. And now I have to flush my radiator, damn thing, when I opened the cap, there was this soft crud everywhere, time to change that out.

Also, my gauge still reads 210 inside the car, shouldnt it be reading below that line now?!

Ill have to seafoam it tomorrow, have to get goin to work.

                  Brake Booster: http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/power-brake2.jpg

PCV is the little black cap on top of your upper intake manifold. 2 small bolts hold it down.

Did you bleed the air out of the cooling system after swapping the thermostat?

Yeah I bled the air out, its below 210 now, slightly, but def more than it ever has been, a 160* sounds nice now.

Thanks for the info, Ill look for the PCV Valve tomorrow, Im at work so donthave time or light.
