I have been running accell coils for awhile today I put the factory coils back in and it seems to run better.I have accell 8 mm wires and rapid fire plugs .Any one else have any probs with accell coils?

Quite a number of people have had them burn up and die, as well as heatsoak and cause idle issues and such. The GM coils are fine - they're very strong too. Most you might need to do is replace the wires/plugs on time.

Over the past few years, I have burned up 3 Accel coils. I switched back to stock and have not had a problem.

        Been there and done that.
They seemed to improve throttle response right away.
Although after time the car would warm up and start to misfire.
I had no idea what it was.
Finally we changed the accel coils back to stock ones and everything was perfect!!!
Now, we installed them in misterjuice's juiced skylark and it runs perfect.
His coil packs are mounted right in front of the engine just behind the grill so air is constantly cooling them.

There is a heat soak problem

I used the GP Sorenson OEM Replacement (from Advance Auto) for coils and Ignition Control Module. Haven't had any problems with either.
