well i have trued everything and i still get tons of rattles from the rear. i don't know if tey are inside or outside or both. i can have the windows up and still hear them so i thinking maybe the hatch area. every little bump i hit my car sounds like crap.. i have tried everything, i mean everything and it still squeaks.. things i have done:
    lubed everything
    removed spare
tighen down all bolts to specs
    taped the hatch lock
    checked back seats

i'm running out of ideas.. the rear shocks were just replaced 2 months ago.. any other ideas.. thank you

The heat shield between the muffler and fuel tank. Mine rattles - got to lower the muffler to tighten the screws.

my rear seat squeaks (it's really high pitched) and so i just leave it down all the time...pretty soon, i'll just remove it...maybe wrap some electrical tape around the clamping posts to sure them up?
Your sig is the most important part of your message. Make sure that you list EVERY single thing that you have done to your car so that we can all go \'oooh!\' and \'Ah!\'. Please make your sig consistently longer than anything else you post. Please include your lengthy sig with EVERY single post you make during a reply, even if you only reply with a monosyllable grunt.

There's your problem :) When you replaced the shocks you didn't put the poly bushings back on exactly as there were when you took them off and you may have them too tight. The poly bushings wear a pattern and if they are not put back they will squeak horribly.

I suggest getting some new bushings from the dealership. All you need are the two that go on top of the rear shocks.

Yes, but you don't really have to remove the carpet. It's easier to make a small slit and reach in or, you can pull the carpet back. I's not that bad to pull back if you pull from the rear
