  • question regarding possible oil leak...picture

We have a 97 v6 firebird and it might be leaking a little oil AGAIN  We have had the rear main replaced about a year ago, and the oil pan gasket has also been replaced. IF you look at the picture in the circled area is where there is a little bit of oil. It is a very small amount, nothing that leaves any drops on the driveway(knock on wood. The only place where it is really wet is at the bottom down there. Suggestions on what is leaking? What about getting it fixed?

Mine's leaking also...a couple of people have said that there is a gasket that goes over the rear main seal, and that can leak...that might be it. It could also be the rear of the intake manifold. Don't worry (yeah, right), you're not alone.
