Autozone gave me the wrong part! (pcv valve)

They gave me this PCV Valve, looks like this:


V=*open hole with cap to remove or not*
|
|-- <-*other open hole*
|
||| <-- bottom base

I looked at someone elses pics of a PCV Valve, way way off, no way to make this thing work Im guessing.

I took off the black part of it, it actually looks right now...


Update, worked like a charm. Now lets see if it helped any.

And just to MAKE SURE, That thing was supposed to be covered in oil, right?
