can you remove the fuel rail and lay it to the side without disconnecting the lines? I'm trying to replace the upper plenum gasket and the o-ring on the oil gear drive. this is a 3.4L engine.

I don't know about the 3.4's, but it can be done with the 3.8, although I wouldn't recommend it. The fuel lines become somewhat brittle over the years, and I wouldn't want to bend it in another direction causing a pinch in the line and then a leak. Then, it becomes a bigtime P.I.T.A. to replace.

Yeah if I were you I'd just cut the darn fuel lines in half. I mean, who needs fuel lines anyway?
Not me.
Not Sam.

just trying to save time...i wanted to do a thorough cleaning/gasket swap of the whole upper engine including head gaskets while i was doing this, but i don't have time in the next few weeks and i need my car for a few road trips. So i'm just going to replace the o-ring on the oil gear drive to stop the oil leak and the upper plenum gasket and do the rest in Dec or Jan.1993 Camaro 3.4L A4 many mods comin for 2004

\"The last thing I wanted was to get in a fight in Jackson, Mississippi on a Saturday night\"
