I noticed a difference when I got my o2 sim, car was running really rich before it for some reason.
I had previously posted about not being able to burnout, this person responded to a no- CAT thread saying this. Since i dont have an o2 sim and my SES light stays and i guess my car is running in 'a safe mode' Could this be way I cant rev over 4000rpm and my car stalls @ 2500 RPM when i hold the brake down and slam it?

Where can i find a good , cheap o2 sim?

That guy is wrong. The post-cat sensor does not affect power. If the only DTC you're getting is P0420, then an O2 sim will do nothing except turn off the SES light.

That said, all of the regular retailers sell O2 sims.

i was actually throwing 2 codes one was P0420 and i forget the other, but it had to do with my cat i believe.. possibly 2 of the same codes?

This not being able to burnout stuff is killing me. I've tried everything im about to just take it to a mechanic and show them whats up and let them tell me whats wrong..

(it stalls @ 2500 rpm when i hold down brake, A4 Tranny, and wont spin the tires: also i cant rev psat 4000 in park)

Yes, ive already checked my tranny mount, no leaks, stock tires, and i could spin'm in my 94 3.4 all day..maybe its a chip thats stopping to from burning out .. some kinda traction control or something that HP Tuners could fix. b/c I cant rev my engine passed 4000rpm it just stops it and makes a crackly sound.

        Both of those are normal.

Are you saying you push in your brake and the stall jumps to 2500, or that its like you have a 2500 stall converter?? and the rev limiter at 4000 is completely normal

i mean when i hold down the brake, put my car in first, and slam on the gas, it will rev up to 2000-2500 RPMS and just stall there and not go any fast, and wont spin the tires. I can let go and then do it again and it will wont spin the tires. (at all)

Mine does the same thing. For me to get the tires to spin I have to keep it floored and let off the brakes enough to get the tires moving then reapply it firmly.

when the rear o2 goes bad it should throw 2 or 3 codes. one saying the o2 is out and the others saying the cat is bad. the only reason that post cat o2 is there is to make sure the cat is working. its values are not computed to determine a/f ratio.

In how many threads do we have to tell you that is how a torque converter works? Are you pushing as hard as you can on the brake or something?
