The HPP3 does advance the time if you tell it to. Everything is an option so if you don't want the timing option you just click no.
I'm actually selling my HPP3 P/N if anyone is interested. I got it on Beta a little while ago. $250 shipped. We've had some customer feedback on the new programmers and it's all been good. Hopefully Hypertech will have something for the earlier V6 cars in the future. These programmers are in stock and you can save $30. during this month's double online discount special.

The 99 models have different computer calibrations and the 2000-2002 programmer will not work. We may eventually have the 99 models but it won't be soon. Check our web site for updates. Thanks

To Whom It May Concern:
It's great to see that a company is willing to put some time, money, and effort into the other Camaro, the six cylinders. I was happy to see the release of the 2000-2002 Hypertech Programmer III, however, is it at all compatible with the 1999 model year's PCM? I'm assuming the answer would be a no but I don't see any large differences between the 99s and the 00s PCM. Are you in beta testing now of the 99 model year Camaro's or will this be the last programmer available for the V6 4th gen F-bodies. Please inform me on this for I am greatly interested in purchasing a power programmer for my 1999 V6 Camaro.

I don't like the part where they say it won't be soon :( Take it as is...

If it is able to solve my PCM issues with the 160 stat, as well as change the fan turnon temps, much less the other neat feature about removing the speedlimiter, I will definetly buy it the second he has them in stock. I will do a before and after dyno using it as well.

Well I tried mine out and tonight the 160 stat issue cropped up again. I now need to contact Hypertech to get them to correct this, otherwise I'm sending my unit back. The reason I bought it was so I could run a 160 stat, all the other stuff is just helpful down the road. argh :(2002 5-spd NBM Camaro
