im trying to replace my headlight on my '96... it looked like it was being held in with a torx screw, but there is something inside of it, its not a torx screw, does anyone know what it is, and the size of the fitting ill need to buy, and where to buy it, all the local stores said they dont know what it is and i refuse to take it to the dealer.

It seems like your saying that you don't even own or have access to a common screwdriver. I hope this is not true because I have about 7 or so screwdrivers and so does everybody else I know. Have you ever worked on anything before? I mean anything? Not trying to talk down on you or anything, but it seems kinda rediculous that you don't know what screwdriver to use. If you really haven't used one before, I'm sorry for the nature of this message.
And if you want to buy one, buy one that has changable heads and you can just fit in the appropriate one. Maybe you want a screwdriver tool kit that has all kinds of heads in it, I've got one of those and have used it many times...saved the day a couple times.1995 Firebird 3.4L
My Site

ok guy listen... its a special torx fitting, its a star shape like the torx but there is a pin in the middle of the star that prevents u from using the torx bit
im glad u waisted ur time preaching about how great ur screw drivers are... im glad u have a special bond with them.. i really dont care about ur oppions.
