Help! My rear defog does not work! It has never worked for me ( i.e. the light won't come on, the window will not defog lol ) and I'm just now getting to it, had bigger problems to deal with earlier. What could be the problem? Is there a fuse I should look for? Maybe one of the lines is broken? I have no idea! Thanks guys!

i think that i read just a littl while ago about a guy with a 97 and he said that in the fuse panel there is a 30 amp breaker that has the defroster on it. he said that the breaker keep flipping, so he put a 30 amp fuse in and it worked fine. i have the same problem as you guys, i just haven't had a chance to check on this, so best of luck.2000 pewter firebird
Short Throw Shifter, Whisper Lid, Whisper Ram Air, Holley Filter, B&B Triflo, LSD, BMR LCA, STB, PHR, and sway bars (32/21).
Power window conversion

only mine does work... for about 30 seconds and goes off, then i cant try it again for like 15 mins. again, im not real concerned about it, but if it is something as simple as a fuse i might get it fixed... mine did that too thankfully it was still under warranty. I can tell you what I know but I'm not sure. They told me it was a relay of some sort. Mine worked the same way yours (aalugo2000) did. I guess the relay was telling the comp funky times, but maybe that helps. Best I got

Just had mine fixed under warranty. Tried replacing all fuses/breakers first. No good. Turns out the HVAC head unit was funky. The switch for the rear defrost wasn't getting power. Had to get the whole thing replaced. So try your cheapest options first (fuses etc) then check your lines (no breaks), then check the head unit.
