I bought a 94 camaro about a year ago with 76,000 miles on it. Its ran great since I got it, I was very happy with it. I didn't drive it that much since I've gotten it because I was a freshman in college and only drove it on weekends when I came home.
About two months ago I noticed that the car has been running extremely sluggish. It just doesn't have the pickup that it did last year, seems real sudden too that its lost intensity. It has about 83,000 miles on it now. I've had two oil changes since I've gotten it.
Any inexpensive suggestions to check out or try? Routine maintenance? Plugs? Fuel Filter? Wires?
Also, when I start the car up, sometimes the engine doesn't turn over until I try the ignition a second time. It just keeps cranking, and sometimes gets ready to start up but then fizzles out. Second time I try the ignition, it always works. Every once in a while a small puff of smoke comes out, light whitish color, dissapears quickly.
Someone mentioned to me that valve seals could be bad which causes the bad starts, and the smoke and also making the car sluggish. He said prolly cause it sat so long before I bought it anda while I was at school... Anyone got an opinion??
