  • OBDII code P0304

My car just started stuttering really badly last night when I get on the throttle. It's never done before. It's kinda strange how it all of a sudden started happening. The OBD says that cylinder 4 is misfiring. Any suggestions? It's probably the plug, wire or coil right? My car has 47k on it. The coils are only 20 bucks each to replace. Is this a dificult item to replace.

Bingo, you have a misfire. It's either the sparkplug, or wire, or coil, but likely, very very likely, the plug or wire. Simple replacement, and cheap.

Thanks! Any idea how much a good set of wires would cost? Recommend a brand? Do better wires provide a noticeable increase in performance on the 3.8? Not to ask a dumb question, just wondering if you might squeek out another horse or two with good wires?

I'm sure you squeek out a few extra horsepower going back to 6 cylinders from 5.
