  • Automatic Tranny can cause altenator problems??

If you guys have read my previous posts then you would know i have been through 4 altenators in 2 weeks. There is obiously a short or some kind problem with my eletrical system

from the outside everything looks ok and i cant find out whats up with my car!!!

heres what i have been told the possible problems are

1 theres somthing inside my auto tranny (cant remember what its called) thats shot and causing a short of somekind there is a wierd feeling of my tranny right now when it shifts so that may be it... i dont know

    2nd voltage regulator

can anyone explain how that thing works. where it is, how it can go bad, how to test it??

i cant drive the damn car cuz the altenator goes out 30 mins after driving it and causes me to use my lifetime warranty to go get a new one!

      is the alternator from autozone?
I've heard many bad things about their rebuilt alternators.

It keeps the charge voltage from going over it's set limit. ~14.4V

It is located inside the alternator.

It is tested doing a standard alternator load test at AutoZone.

Disconnect ANY AND ALL aftermarket electronic devices and try again.
