• I think I killed my power steering

I was making a short video of me doing a burnout but I think in turning fast and hitting the gas sort of doing a donut that I killed my power steering. It's almost impossible to turn the wheel completely when stopped and very hard to do low speed (under 15) turning like parking and such. Not as noticable at higher speeds.

In the video I was making on the 2nd donut when I wasn't hitting the gas you can hear a loud wine noise coming from the engine which I believe it the power steering failing.

Did you bother to check your fluid level? When they get low, they also make that noise.

I checked it yesterday and it was below the Cold mark, by about a cm. So I'm hoping thats what it was. I also drove it yesterday and today and the power steering works, so I guess it was just a very low fluid level.

You're lucky, usually that will kill it. You crank the wheel all the way and it puts a lot of pressure on the pump, you should hear it whine a bit when you do that, now add in the HIGH rpms of doing the donut and you kill the pump.

        It's not worth it

I just watched that video, and no offence, but its the most pathetic thing I have ever seen. Thats not a donut, its you having a little 1 tire fire while driving in a circle, then you have to try like 4 times to get the thing to break the back right tire loose just so you can have a handfull of smoke and sort of let the back end slide 90 degrees. Get LSD, some steeper gears, a little more power, THEN try it again.

That was just "practice", I was planning on deleting the video but then my power steering gave out and I wasn't gonna do it again. I also am not gonna kill my tires, I'm far to poor for more. But I'll be getting rid of this little girls 3.8 and moving into the world of V8 soon anyway.

Since you weren't impressed with mine here's something that should...

472 RWHP Supercharged LS1, then 508 RWHP on NOS, he kills his tires just stands on it where there's piles of rubber chunks behind the car. That car is also my inspiration for moving into the world of V8.

Jesus man...he wasn't asking for a critical evaluation of his performance..he was just curious about his power steering..
