  • Safe Cam...

Hi, I'm looking for a cam. YES i know cams have been brought up millions of times, but after doing a search, I nary found an answer. I'm looking for a cam (obviously). That is 3 things
    1. Safe- Not going to kill drivability
    2. Performance- A cam proven to be of good quality and give great gains in performance.
    3. Forced Induction- I intend on getting Tiago's turbo so I want a cam that will be READY for the kit. And yes I would plan to have this cam in prior to being turbocharged.

So basically a cam that's safe, good in performance, forced induction ready(but good for n/a)
I don't know a great deal about the numbers, so that's what I'd need. EXACT LIST OF CAMS. thx

        In a nutshell:

with a forced induction application, you want a cam with high lift.

Go to zzperformance.com and look at thier cam selections. The GT and GT2 are good for NA use. The VS or X-P are good for forced induction. Since you want driveability, I would steer away from the X-P.

I have a 200/206 grind from COMP. It is great for nitrous, since it has long duration on the exhaust side. It would be terrible for Forced induction, since it only lifts up to .498". All the good FI cams lift up to .512 or more.
