    V-6 Aluminum block and heads.

    I just read an article from TA Performance that they are manufacturing aluminum v-6 blocks and heads.

    It reads as if this is for the buicks? But could this block and heads be used on our cars?

    Your 3.8 block is a Buick design...

    I think there is a similar article in GM High Tech Performance mag...Oct. 2003

    And I think you are right. It looks like the engine is built more for racing and the GN's.

      hmmmm would be nice to use that block and head combo though. The article says the block shaves off a good 100 lbs. That is always a nice bonus!

          they had that block in car craft a couple of months ago. i am moving so dont know where it is for exact info but the price was around 3k for the block. and it said it could handle up to 3k horsepower. pretty cool. [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

              I want to know more!!! Cant find squat anywhere besides this post. If anyone got any links to websites, please email me or post it here. BTW I won at bingo tonight....1000 dollars, first time ever...time to get some good mods. Also I just installed my 3.73 gears. OMFG unbelievable!! What the hell was GM thinking, these gears should have been standard for our cars. This think right out flies now!!!
