Hey Ken, long time listener, first time caller here. Actually, after 10 days of waiting anxiously I finally get to post!
I performed the headlight mod last weekend in conjunction with the changing of burnt out fog lamps. And I learned:
1) Do not use Chilton's 1993-1998 Camaro/Firebird manual if you have a 98. They treat it like a 97 with the sports package. Why does this matter? In the 98, you have two screws holding a poke through opening in the front air dam. Remove them and you can reack up to get the fog lamp.
2) After the modification, the fog/outside and inside headlamps come on as well as the fog lamp indicator in the car when the highs are turned on. (all I did was ground the fog lamps) I can't remember, but in the 98 didn't the inside lights turn on, and the fog and outside lights turn off when you turned on the brights?
That's about it.
Rob
