  • Window off track

Need help it seems that my drivers side window is off its track(i guess to much fast food )the window will go up to a point then i literally have topull it the rest of the way up. the reason i think itis off track is when i close the door the window is not flush when i close the door. there is a little gap between the window anad the inside of the car plus i hear air when i am driving.

the dealer is trying to convince me that the motor is bad and will charge me $75 topull door off and 112 plus labor for the part. he says something about some "arm connection thingy may be bad.

    Just need some advice

    Holla at me

i had the same problem about 3 months back. my window had a gap and i had to pull it at times, and it was some arm connection thingy that had broken and they had to weld back together. I just took it to a local mechanic and paid $80 to have it fixed, and it seemed to fix the problem. the other alternative they gave me was to replace the whole arm which would cost quite a bit more

I had that problem, what happened was a bolt fell out of part of the arm near the front so the front part of the window never went up as high as it should have. I would recommend taking off your door panel and looking around before taking it to the dealer (not alot of effort to take it off/put it on).
