  • Jet Chip

I was looking on the internet and I was wondering what u guys thought about a jet chip for a 3.4 firebird. I was thinking of getting stage 2 but it says for well breathing exhaust and engine. Here are my mods: Flowmaster 80 series muffler and a SLP COld air induction chip. Is my car ready for the stage 2?

Yes, I think you are ready, but be aware that the horsepower increase shown on their website is for a V8, so your increase will not be as great, although it will noticeable. It also does not remove the speed limiter. When I got mine, I only had a catback at the time and I did notice a difference and after I added a Home made CAI I noticed another slight increase.

I love mine, it is a significant difference. I did install a switch so I can turn it on and off (after removing the fuses) easily for long trips and emissions testing

I have one on my 3.8, but it's the chip for the LS1 if I remember right...I wouldn't advise doing what I did though...it fixed my shift points and I could tell a difference, but not for the price tag that came with it (rev limiter kicked in at 118 or so on the dyno, but I've buried 125 and had a z28 next to me to check my speed...may have just been a one-time thing). Plus, I'll have to take it back off to spray nitrous if I end up buying the kit in the next few weeks.

            I had one for my 92 3.1 V6.
            NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Spend your money elsewere, then when you have more drastic mods, like internal, or power adder, get a custom programed one.

I noticed more power from a $35 drop in K&N, than the $200 Jetchip Stage II
