    Hey Guys,
I looking for the screw that adjusts the headlights down and up on my 97 Camaro?? Can anyone give me any info as to where I can buy one of these screws..I already called the dealership and they want $50 for the whole headlights mounting bracket??

    Thanks

The dealership can't just sell you an adjustment screw? That seems a bit fishy to me...

As for a replacement otherwise? I dunno where to even start with that. Its a very coarse thread, and a torx head. You may be able to find one to replace it with something of a more normal head, such as an allen head screw much easier then a torx head.

    Good Luck!

BTW, how did you go about losing one of these babies?

Have you considered a junkyard? Since you already know the cost of a new assembly, they can't rip you off. Try getting just the screw, if they won,t sell it to you, then get the used assembly.

My local Lowe's and Home Depot carries the "not so common" automotive screws, plugs, pins, and quick nuts. Try them for future missing parts. :D

Try running a magnet (i.e. strong magnet) across the area where you dropped it. A second one may come in handy if you lose it again...
