I've been talking about this problem for about a month now. I just got mine back from the shop, and the problem was a combination of a clogged EGR valve, and bad plugs and wires. I know Alieninv8r had the same problem as well, and his were just plugs and wires. I'd say try th eplugs and wires first before doing anything else.

The plugs werent tighted in they were able to remove them by hand. and the Wires were Melted to the point where i was running 4 cylinders if i was lucky. and everything is only 6 months old.

Might be clogged cat if RPM's are limited.

Try checking the fuel regulator and fuel injectors, cat, plugs, wires, egr, those are the main ones.
