the .rar files will need to be opened with Winrar (free program) and they will extract into a .iso file. When I first downloaded these, I had one .rar file that wouldn't extract, had some kind of error. I tried the repair option in winrar and the computer chugged along for about an hour before I stopped it, it still wasn't done and the cpu temp was holding at 152 degrees, which is too hot for my liking. Downloaded it again and no more error.
You need a program like easy cd creator to burn the .iso files to cd's. Most cd creating programs have an option to create cd from image. To install, put in the first cd and follow the directions.
My install didn't go smoothly. It wouldn't recognize the 2nd cd. So I just left the install program sitting and browsed to the new folder on my computer where it was being installed to. Then I made a note about which folder it was trying to copy the data on cd 2 to. Exited the install program, which undid the install of 1st cd and deleted all the program folders on the hard drive. I then copied all the cd's to the hard drive in a seperate folder. Ran the install program from the hard drive. From there I had to use winrar again to extract the data from cds 2-5 into the folder that I had noted earlier. I told the install program when it asked for cd 2 the location of the files and it worked from there on.
Pray to god that yours works smoothly and don't have to try to figure that crap out. It takes some time and major hard disk space.
