Is there 2? One off the passenger side header and one in the throttle body? Sorry for the stupid question..Does cleaning this help? I dout mine has ever been cleaned. Oh also do you need the EGR hooked to the header? I noticed Pacesetter headers do not have a port for it? Is it needed?

there is one coming of the passenger header/exhaust manifold. it can be cleaned. i had to do it when i first got the car. it was sticking keeping it wide open which was throwing a code. as for egr being hooked up, it should be if you dont want to have a code or you can do a search on how to delete it or reroute it.1994 White Firebird 3.4L A4<br />Mods: K&N CAI RKSport Headers & SLP Loudmouth Cat Back <br />1969 Mustang Mach 1 351C M4<br />Mods: None yet......<br />~ Ryan

Exhaust Gas Recirculation...recycles exhaust gas which may not have been completly burned up, giving you better gas mileage and heats up your engine a little quicker when cold

either delete it (if you don't care about it taking longer to warm up in the winter and a possible SES and don't have state inspections) or buy a new one is my suggestion. You don't want to get any of that crap when you clean it into your intake like mentioned above, and it's probably rusted on tighter than welding it on and it would be a mess to take on and off.
