I think I may know why the 2000+ 3.8s act squirrely
This ETC thing may be why nobody can/wants to do re-programming for our PCMS. The throttle maps, in addition to the regular fuel/ignition maps, may be too difficult, or create too many variables, to effectively re-program them.
It also explains why my car always seemed to be sluggish off the line, but it would almost seem like someone was rolling in more throttle as I accelerated.
So, the question now is whether we can get these throttle maps reprogrammed?
At least now, with the GTPs having the ETC starting in '04, maybe somebody will finally be able to do some decent reprogramming for us.

Um, the LS1 (vette definitely) has ETC. And LS1edit is a kicking project.

I know that the LS1 F-Body's don't have ETC, they used cable-controlled throttle until the end. Maybe the Vette's do. If they do, then it would be interesting to see 1), if LS1Edit can adjust the throttle maps, and 2) if it can't, is there a noticable difference between pre- and post-ETC Corvettes.
