Over in advanced tech you can find some more information by searching. It does monitor a bunch of stuff, and yes it will show you not only codes, but also the freeze frame information it took at the time the code was set, and will reset the codes (no pulling fuses, etc. to the pcm).
Here is something I posted a few days ago:
_____________
I ran my new Autotap for about 1/2 hour this morning. Recorded two full throttle take-offs to 80mph. Interesting stuff.
Timing retard of -2 to -4 degrees at various points, usually in first gear around 4k rpms.
Timing advance drops to zero right before a gear change.
A/F ratio went from 14.7 to 11.8 - 12.4 under full throttle.
Also found from playing with the various gauges on it last night, that about two out of three times when I floor the pedal, it is not going all the way down. The tps is reporting 96-98% open. If I shift my foot just a little, I get 100% open. That could make a difference at the track...
Proved that my current thermostat is a 195 by monitoring the water temp.
Found out that my temp gauge in the car dash is not sensitive enough to see the difference between 180 and 210. I had been "manually" turning on my fans by kicking on the a/c for a few seconds at the track, then turning it off. But only doing this when I noticed the needle climb to a certain point. By this time it is really hotter than I realized, since 210 sits about the same place as 180 on the stock gauge.
Lots of cool stuff. Like the PCM estimates the torque output of the engine under the various operating conditions, and the autotap will track and report that.
I plan to monitor the fuel injector flow next, to see if I ever approach the max capacity of the injectors.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next<br />v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock<br />v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp<br />Moderator on <a href=\"http://www.mtfba.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.mtfba.org</a> and <a href=\"http://www.frrax.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.frrax.com</a> (Road Race & Autocross)<br /><a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/johnduncan10\" target=\"_blank\">Car pics</a>, <a href=\"http://www.trscca.com\" target=\"_blank\">TN Region SCCA</a>

I paid $284. After I already ordered mine, someone said you can get them for $250, but I didn't look anymore, not after I had already ordered one...
Seems like I've heard someone say you can get a student discount too, which didn't apply to me.
It's a pretty good package overall, the hardware and the program.
Now if I could just get a tuner, that would tie it all together.\'98 A4 Camaro v6->v8 conversion, and STS kit next<br />v6: 13.6 Powerdyne, 13.2 150 shot, 13.8 120 shot, 14.3 85 shot, 15.7 stock<br />v8(na): 12.18@113, 392rwhp<br />Moderator on <a href=\"http://www.mtfba.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.mtfba.org</a> and <a href=\"http://www.frrax.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.frrax.com</a> (Road Race & Autocross)<br /><a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/johnduncan10\" target=\"_blank\">Car pics</a>, <a href=\"http://www.trscca.com\" target=\"_blank\">TN Region SCCA</a>
