  • just calculated my gas mileage

Turned out to be about 23 mpg. About 90% of it are highway miles (w/ like 33% of that in heavy rush hour traffic) and the rest of the 10% is just city driving. Do you think my mpg is normal for this kinda driving?

Yes, i'm assuming you gunned it a couple times. Usually, highway miles are a lot better on gas mileage than city, but because of the rush hour stop and go traffic, its pretty much the same as 90% city driving.

oh yea, forgot to mention that i never gunned it even once. I knew that i was trying to calculate my gas mileage so i basically drove like an old man the whole week. I basically kept the rpms under 3k and never once went over it. I have the y87 gears and A LOT of miles on the car (about 84k). I change oil every 2500 miles and take very good care of my car. also my car is a little heavier because of my sound system and my 18" chrome wheels.

One time (only one time) I got 35 mpg on a long highway trip. Windows up, vents on (not AC), steady cruising at 75-80 mph. I was shocked!

Bigger wheels will give a little blow to your MPG, but nothing major I think because our cars come stock with 16s. Since yours is an auto 23mpg sounds just about right to me.

Manual here, around 27mpg highway and 23mpg city driving. But I can't keep my foot out of it either.

I got around 90 miles from about half a tank of gas. I need to lay off the pedal a bit.

I filled up Sat. afternoon before I went to the track (bad timing I know)

Filled up again today for $2.61 / gal with a total of about $31.
Comes out to 11.87 gal and with I believe 234 miles on the trip meter when I filled up I got 19.7 mpg.

On my last fill-up thought I got about 25 mpg

Weird how much your driving habit affects mileage, even on a 6cyl.
