  • abs inop problem fixed

apparently it was the driver side front wheel sensor it was going bad and it would prematurely engage the abs so when i stoped the car would slide a litle and stop hard as the abs kicked in. so it wasnt the pump or some electrical problem with the dash it was $450 in parts in labor though.

Good job resolving your ABS light problem. As costly as it was, I'd like to know what you were charged for the sensor itself and did you go through a dealership or local mechanic?

I have heard of the wheel sensor dying on other people. My ABS module died a long time ago, but I'm cheap and have never owned a car with ABS so why start now.
