apparently it was the driver side front wheel sensor it was going bad and it would prematurely engage the abs so when i stoped the car would slide a litle and stop hard as the abs kicked in. so it wasnt the pump or some electrical problem with the dash it was $450 in parts in labor though.

delarship my family deals with alot. it was the the faulty front wheel speed snsor hub unit and it was about $300 bucks.JpXComment

I have heard of the wheel sensor dying on other people. My ABS module died a long time ago, but I'm cheap and have never owned a car with ABS so why start now.
