  • engine starting problems

When I try to start my car it hesitates a lot, I thought it might be bad gas so I ran the tank about empty and filled it up with premium and put some octane boost in it and it worked fine until it got to about a half a tank and now it is doing it again. What could cause this, does anybody have any suggestions or possible fixes, thanks for all your help

Any SES ( service engine soon ) codes thrown?
If any, scan them for free at Autozone and ask them for a printout what the code may be, they will be able to point you in the right direction.

I will take a shot that it may be just a fuel filter. Simple fix.

Nope, no SES light is shown, that was my thought, either fuel filter or pump.
