  • Spark Plug Wire Problem

I have the MSD Ignition wires and i have a problem with them.

Every so often they will disconnect from the spark plug and cause the car to bog down and run like ****. Then i have to wait for it to cool down and reinstall it.

Now is there any way to prevent them from falling off or a way to keep them in place.

    Thanks guys.

The superconductor wires? Hrm, strange. Are the screw-on ball ends still on the spark plugs for the wire connectors to snap onto? Maybe the connector clips just need a slight squeeze with pliers to make them a little tighter.

musch the sob on the end off the plug. i know with mine, they are difficult to "click or pop" into place. do u have the straight or 90 degree boot.

^ Oh yeah, are you sure you're pushing them on all the way until they click? They do require a pretty good snap.

You should hear a snap on all of your wires when you connect them to your coils as well as your plugs. You can, if they do not click, you can use a pair of pliers to make the connector a little tighter. Be careful not to damage the boot though.
