  • car started and died after 3 secs

    ok i got in my car to start it and it dies after a couple secs. well i treied a few more times and same thing well then i tried my remote start and same thing well after about the 10 time itr started and ran. what could this be i dont want it to happen in the future

    Unfortunately it could be a million things, most common might be the fuel pressure is weak. Some GM vehicles if the fuel pressure is below spec it would not start at all.

      yea well after i first got the car about a year ago i had a bad body control module i went and got one off of a 98 camaro at a junk yard and well i plugged it up car started and died after 3 secs...so i had to buy a brand new one and i dont think that is the problem i was told my fuel filter could be bad but it aint happened to me again yet

        Check the IAC.

          could be fuel pressure regulator.. not that expensive

              Idle Air Controller.

              It's on the throttle body. I has two torx bolts holding it in. A little plastic part. If you pull it out you will see a spring-like plunger appendage.
