Had my 160 Thermostat put in. Even after adjusting the computer settings with my hypertech i keep having problems. My air temperature guages stopped working and the fan stays on all the time. I've heard that the 160 thermo won't let the car warm up to the proper tempature in cold weather. I'm think that could be it..
Is this messing up my car in anyway?
is there a way to fix the problem?

the issue is you have a '01-'02 they have an issue with the temp guage going crazy with 160* stat, you need to delete the code via hptuners/dhp. Or I believe you can put a resistor some where to fix it. Do a search on it.

not that I can think of, just a sensor glitch, but I am not an expert on it, only briefly looked into it since it doesn't apply to me.

- For those with 2000 and newer 3800 vehicles, your PCM will not be happy with a 160°F thermostat. After a few drive cycles, you'll trigger DTC P0128 because your PCM won't think your engine is warming up properly. There are three ways to circumvent this. First, you can opt for the 180°F thermostat. Second, you can simply unplug the IAT and substitute an 18k-Ohm resistor. This will prevent the PCM from ever running it's test. Or third, you can have your PCM custom programmed.

Me and another local guy have been running 160* stats in our 2000 for a little while, no problems.
also if FOff67 gives you a decent price and isn't to far, have him delete it, and lower the cooling fan temps.

Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
