  • next mod for my 3.4? all come and give opinions.

Alright what do you think shoudl be my next mod?

I want it to be HP related or straight line related withou affecting my handling abilites.

    I already have...

gears, LSD, intake, exhaust(no headers but not sure if they would be worth the hassle on my setup), pulleys, wires, plugs, lt1 driveshaft, 1Le tranny mount.

These things are not an option...
    porting/polishing, cams, nitorus, super/trubocharger.

I might be able to do stuff with the TB, but not sure it woudl make a difference since I am not modifiying the upper intake plenum, which is roughly the same size as the TB.

    Any ideas?

Hurst or related short shifter would be cool...it would get rid of that LOOOOOONNNNGGGGG shift that comes stock with the M5 tranny.

Some roller tipped or full roller rocker arms would help a little as well. It would bump the ratio to 1.6:1 allowing a little more air into the combustion chamber. This is a relatively easy install too.

Spohn torque arm would deliver a little more power to the rear wheels.

Honestly, though, even though you don't wanna hear it, the heads and cam on the 3.4L V6 are the way to go.

      rockers are out too...

I agree heads and cam are the way to go, but I also autocross as well, internal work like heads and cames will bump me from prepared to race class which is asking for a world of trouble in my car.

where is my car oging to be more competitive, classed with similar cars, or at the drag strip?

For Autocross, how about some road racing tires?

Depends, at the strip your can can be a good bracket car as bracket racing is more dependant on consistancy than speed

Yeah depends if you're bracket racing or not. Maybe you could upgrade to an aluminum drive shaft .

But if you're set on auto crossing, then get some good road racing tires I'd say.

since you like to do some autocrossing, what about some Eibach springs or Koni shocks?

What about pulling the rear seats for less weight/more room?

tires and rims are already on the list......

same iwth springs and shocks...., but I like to balance my car, and i have been leaning towards autocross mroe then drag racing recently, jsut hangs on my head I am so close to N/A record, just wnat to secure it for at least awhile, I am 0.03 seconds away from it.

btw gutting rear seats affects autocrossing classifcations, i would have yanked those awhile ago, I am all about the free mods.

i suggest poly TA bushing to better plant the rear to the ground and short-throw shifter for faster shifting.

forgot to mention I already have a poly torque arm bushing...

so we are talking short shifter...(I think I shift fast enough, and am not really going ot notice a difference for $150)

Jet chip stange II... I have heard alot of people say no gains not something i want ot experience for $260...

Possible LCAs and panhard bar. What ones do your recoomend, I am thining 1LE, since tubular ones with poly bushings will bind under hard cornering.
