  • help, car just died on me...

So im at a light, no other cars around so i made my right turn and hit the gas. I do have a transgo shift kit in my car and i didnt red line it or anything. as soon as i got into 2nd gear i let off he gas. right when i let off my rpms just dropped. I felt the car sputtering like it was out of gas but i had almost a full tank. i pulled over and shut it off before it could die on me and let it stay for a minute. tried starting it and started up but died out. i turned my fans on and waited a few minutes. started up once again and sounded fine but as soon as i tried to move it, it died out again. so gave it a few more minutes and this time kept in under 1300 rpms and rolled it all he way to my friends house going 5mph. my normal idle is 900. i thought i blew my transmission or rear-end or something but they seem fine. Car isnt overheating or anything and has oil. could it be a bad fuel pump or fuel regulator or something? cause it feels like its flooding the engine.

any help would greatly be appreciated!

went to my friends house and tried starting it again. Started up and reved it up and it was fine. So i put the air conditioner on, lights, radio...and as soon as i reved it, it went up and as soon as the rpms came down it started hesitating again. the rpms were going crazy, going up and down from 900 to about 1500 like 5 times and then the last time it died.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Check the Bat. and your Alt. It might be that. my old firebird did that just died out and eveything. Come to find out it was a bad Alt. Have it bench tested at auto zone.
