yeah, the summer of 02 I bought my 98bird with 32k on it for $10,000. Not too bad considering that up here in Maine all sports cars cost more than if you baught it in some other state. sep of 2001 i got my camaro for $8500 taxes, tile and 2 free fillups out the door. had 78,xxx miles on it. i found its easier to get the pric you want buy dealing with payments, the came back say we'll give it to you for 11k, like nope, 10,500 nope, i was like tell you what if you can get me 175 month payment with taxes and title. i'll sign the papers right now, he left and dissaperd to the "man up stairs for about 30-45 minutes, came down and said ok its a deal. lol
later he told us the boss didn't want to do it. he told the boss i would walk cause i was only 17 and thats all i could do at the time (little did they know my mom called another dealer ship and they "found that car" well the guy at that one said he could do it for 9500 taxes and title, and we know how much the dealer paid for the car he he)
play the game yo, sales men make all there monye from comissions of how much profit the dealer makes.

If you can get the car in your name then try geico. They are very close to what I am paying. And get a $400-$500 deductible. If you turn in a cheep claim your insurance will still go through the roof. It would be better for you to pay it out of pocket. Ok, the guy with the Bird for sale that I posted in the first post of this thread, lowered the asking price to $3900. I am still having trouble finding a decent 3.8L Bird, so I am thinking I could talk him down on that price a little bit and just go for it.
