  • Squeeling noise when I take right turn

As far as I know it's only when I make a right turn. I can hear this loud squeeling noise when the steering wheel is turned to a certain position. It sounds as if its coming from right in front of me, near the wheel area...what could this be? Steering pump maybe?

from what you describe, most likely. mine does the same thing and i have a power steering leak. and other people with power steering leaks have the same symptom. just look for the fluid around the area and check your resivoir for changing levels

I park outside on an incline so I think I'd definitely notice the leak if I had one...although I'm going to check it out tomorrow and see if I see any liquid. I hope this does't sound like too stupid of a question, but where is the power steering fluid located? I've never checked it before...I know, I know...disgraceful haha.

its on the driver side. its a black box and it will say power steering somewhere on the lid. and you can see two hoses, one leaving the box, one coming into the box. once the hoses get down to the engine, it will be hard to see. just look for fluid and alot of built up dirt covering hoses and take a flash light and look down to where the hoses go. see what you see

Mine doesn't squeal, it just kinda moans and I don't have any leak... I've noticed alot of american cars have this, maybe that's all it is... But if I were you I'd check for a leak.

It sounds to me like it could be your right front brake pad is worn.
