Broken radiator cover bolts!

I went to take the plastic radiator cover off and the bolt broke right at the top. A clean cut right across the top. Now the other half of the bolt is stuck in there. So I tried the other one and the same thing happened. Now only the middle bolt is holding the cover on. Is there any way I can fix this?

Take a drill....and drill a hole into the screw...then screw a screw into the hole you drilled...and by theory, you should be able to twist it out.

Wow, thats a whole lot of screwing going on in that sentance.

But for real, its saved me a few times on various things...

I def cant get a vice grip on through the top. I am gonna see if there is a way through the bottom. Do you think I could just drill the hole screw out but then that might damage the threads so I dont know.

Drill the broken bolt out with a drill bit about the same size and once thats done follow this link, its about a Heli-Coil kit you may have to purchase. These 2 ideas should help you and be available at any Sears or Home Depot, Lowes stores. Try it and keep us posted on your results.
